I hope everyone had a wonderful spring break! I know some went home and some went to other exotic places. I hope everyone had an enjoyable time at Teen Leader Weekend at our summer home, well at least mine. The scrapbook is coming along, If there are ANY, and I repeat ANY, pictures you would like to be included, send me an email at cjames7@mix.wvu.edu. Elections are coming up in two weeks so please come to the meeting! Its quite an entertaining process to determine the new officers. Nominations are still open, so if you know someone that can’t be at the meeting due to classes or something else, have them send a written statement with their acceptance for nomination with a member in attendance. The school year is coming to a close, and summer is coming on fast, so have fun at camp. If anyone goes to OMC, I’m spreading the word… the theme is “Here’s Your Sign!” I’m so excited so everyone should try to get there, either as a camper or on staff!

Stress

Hey guys! Finals are coming up, and life is getting stressful. I’ve found some fun ways to cope with that stress…
1. Dancing… yes, I know only a 4H’er would say that. But seriously, I’ve found alot of interest with the Swing Dance Club. I’ve been dancing around in my room by myself either doing swing or folk. My roommates think I’m strange sometimes when they first saw me, but that’s what makes life fun – being interesting.
2. Crocheting.. I’ve been working on a blue and gold scarf this summer and I’m not quite finished. The rhythmic movements make it very relaxing.
3. Eating … I know this isn’t always the best option, but it makes me feel better at the time.
4. Yoga… So I’m in a Yoga Class, like actually for credit. Its great. The ten minute nap at the end makes me feel so awake and ready to start working on or studying something.
5. Pictures… Looking at pictures from great memories like camp, football games, high school, etc… makes me feel better all the time! Since I’m a camera fanatic, I have a ton of pictures!
So there are some of my tips. Sorry guys, they tend to be a lil bit girly, but some might work for you. If you have any more suggestions, please feel free to leave a comment.

KENNYWOOD FRIGHT NITES

So, Kennywood was pretty frightening, but we were warned several times! Tailgating before worked out really well. Oh, I’ve got a question. Do I just look like I should be the one that the monsters “pick on”? Its really not fair. They always seem to go for the lil girls! O and thanks group for half leaving when they teamed up on me! lol Overall it was a really enjoyable trip.

So I was walking through the Mountainlair last week, and I came across an interesting booth. At WVU, there is a swing dancing club. The meet on Tuesdays at 7:45, but thought maybe on some off weeks, we could get a group of 4-Her’s to go! I thought it would be fun, and a good way to relieve some stress that all we college students have. If anyone would want to go, give me a call or message me. They teach from 7:45-9 and open swing dance till 10 or 11.

Hey guys,
I’m not in the mood to study, so I thought I’d welcome everyone back to Morgantown! As Kelly Puckett would say, “I’m super-pumped,” about the 4-H club this year! To those freshmen 4-H’ers, again welcome to Motown, and I hope you find the collegiate 4-H club apart of your new family here in town! Last year, I was in your shoes and the club made a difference in my freshmen year!

Oh, for those who don’t know me, I’m Carrie James, your club historian. I’m a sophomore Exercise Physiology major and I hope to get in the Physical Therapy program after I get this degree. I’m a VCA, and I went to OMC this year. This was my favorite summer yet, and I can’t wait for the next one to go back to camp! If you have any questions about 4-H, WVU, myself, or just about anything, I’ll try to answer them or lead you in the right direction. Share your own experiences in a comment!

I hope all of you enjoy your years here at WVU! Hope to see at some 4-H events along with other events around campus and the state!
